Kamene Goro was born on March 24, 1992, in Nairobi.

She spent her early years in South C estate before her family relocated to Woodley and later settled in Karen.

Kamene is the second-born, with an older brother and a younger sister, Natasha Goro.

Her father works as a top structural engineer in Kenya, while her mother, a senior official at Kenya Film School, earned the prestigious Order of the Golden Heart (OGW) for her remarkable contributions to the nation.

Education Journey

Kamene Goro’s educational background is as impressive as her career. She attended Rusinga International School for her primary and secondary education.

Though she initially wanted to study media, her parents persuaded her to pursue a Law degree at the University of Nairobi (UoN), believing it to be a better career choice.

Despite receiving scholarships from three international universities, Kamene enrolled at UoN, as per her father’s wishes.

During her time at the university, her father gifted her a Mercedes Benz to ease her commute from home to school.

Transition from Law to Media

Kamene Goro graduated with a Law degree and started her legal career at Simani & Co Advocates.

Unfortunately, her boss passed away during the tragic Westgate attack, leading to the restructuring of the firm.

Kamene worked as a paralegal for six months before venturing into media.

Television Career

Her media career began at Ebru TV, where she started as a field reporter after an initial screen test.
